Acceptable use
Last updated 22 October 2026. These rules apply to everyone who uses Fair Pay Calculator, run by Dot Infy. They sit alongside the terms of use. The site is free, and we'd like it to stay that way, so please keep to them.
Use it for what it's for
Fair Pay Calculator is for working out your own pay, tax and super, checking pay against an award, and checking a roster before payroll. Please don't use it to break the law, to harass or threaten anyone, or to infringe someone else's rights.
Other people's information
The roster check lets employers type in staff names, ages and pay. Only enter details about other people if you are entitled to hold them, for example because you are their employer or payroll officer. Don't use the tool to gather personal information about people who don't know about it. Nothing you type is sent to us, but the rules about handling your staff's information still apply to you.
Reports and results
The PDF report and the on-screen results are estimates. Don't present them to anyone as an official calculation, a payslip, a legal finding or advice from Fair Pay Calculator. A shortfall shown by the roster check is a reason to look closer, not proof that someone was underpaid.
Keep the site working for everyone
Please don't do any of these:
- Try to overload the site, or run automated tools against it at a rate that slows it down for others.
- Scan it for weaknesses, or try to get around its security headers or hosting protections, without our written permission.
- Copy the site's code, rate tables or text in bulk and republish them as your own. Our rate data comes from public pay guides and ATO pages, so go to those sources if you want the originals.
- Upload or send us malware or anything unlawful.
If you've found a security problem and want to tell us, we'd like to hear about it. Email info@fairpaycalculator.com.au with what you found and how to reproduce it. Please give us a reasonable time to fix it before you share it more widely.
What we may do
If someone breaks these rules, we may block their access, report them to the authorities where the law allows or requires it, and take down anything they've sent us. We'll act in proportion to what happened. If we block you by mistake, email us and we'll look at it within a few business days.
Reporting a problem
If you think someone is misusing Fair Pay Calculator, or you've spotted something wrong on the site, email info@fairpaycalculator.com.au. We'll read it and tell you what we've done where we can.
Changes
We may update these rules. The date at the top shows the current version, and a change applies from that date. If a change would restrict something you could do before, we'll put a notice on the home page first.
